What a DFM Review Looks At
Every review is scoped to the part and the process it is headed for.
Tolerances
Over-tolerancing is one of the most common cost drivers. We flag where tolerances can relax without hurting function.
Wall Thickness
Thin walls warp and thick walls sink. We check sections against the process you plan to use.
Draft Angles
Molded parts need draft. We identify faces that will fight the tool.
Undercuts
Undercuts drive tooling complexity and cost. We find them and propose alternatives.
Material Choice
Material drives cost, finish, and performance. We review fit for the application.
Part Consolidation
Sometimes two parts should be one, or one should be two. We look for both.
Assembly and Fastening
How parts go together changes cycle time and labor. We review the joining strategy.
Process Fit
Machining, molding, sheet metal, or printing - we check the design against the process, not the other way around.

What does a DFM review cost?
Most DFM reviews and file modifications run $300-$600, quoted individually before work starts. A $100 consultation is the fastest way to scope one.
When should I get a DFM review?
Between prototype and production, before tooling is cut. A change caught on paper costs a revision; the same change after a mold is cut costs the mold.
Do you manufacture parts?
No. CADmore is design-only. Prototypes are built in-house to validate designs, and production runs through your manufacturer or our partner network. That separation is why the advice stays unbiased.
Can you review a design my manufacturer already quoted?
Yes. A second set of eyes before you commit is exactly what the review is for, and we have no stake in where the part gets made.
